Alcohol, pain killers, antibiotics, birth control pills, hormone therapies containing clomiphene citrate (such as Clomid, Serophen) should not affect your test result.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you get a negative result, the level of hCG in your urine sample is too low to be detectable and it is unlikely that you are pregnant. However, you may have miscalculated when your period was due, especially if you have irregular periods. If your period does not start within a week, repeat the test.
